CWA-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT # 15

After a day of not meeting, the Company and Union were back at the bargaining table today. The Union passed many proposals today in its attempt to address the remaining outstanding issues. New Letters of Agreements were passed on Commissions specific to quota relief, targets, raising the floor and charge backs; Pensions; 401K; Success Sharing Plan-similar to what was agreed upon in the National Bargained Benefits Plan Agreement for year 2015; Subcontracting/Staffing Commitment which would establish a “watermark” stating the company would need to maintain the current employment headcount levels. The proposal would also force the Company to increase headcount by 20% above the referenced watermark over the life of this agreement and cease the use of contractors if and when the employment headcount level falls below the established watermark. Proposals on Article 14-Force Adjustments; Articles 6-Management Rights and Article 26-Waiver of Further Bargaining were also presented along with an Economic Proposal to address wage increases, compressed wage scales and a ratification bonus.

The Company passed a counter proposal on Article 19-Basis of Compensation which fell far short in meeting our members needs; Article 21-Absences specific to funeral leave and Article 14-Force Adjustments.

The Company also rejected the Union’s proposal on Article 20-Travel; Article 6-Management Rights.

With two (2) days to go before the contract expires there is still a lot of work to be done. The mobilization efforts must be stepped up. Strong and solid support sends a clear message to the company. Please remember to fill out your Employee Engagement Survey by telling the Company you want a fair contract. Remind the Company that the constant changes they make to their policies does nothing to promote a healthy work environment nor does it create positive moral.

Bargaining resumes Friday, February 8, 2013.
