Corrections
In the May 2002 edition of the CWA News:
- The date that the new interest rate for cash balance retirement accounts at AT&T takes effect was misreported. The correct date is Jan. 1, 2003.
- The sponsor of an April symposium in Chicago was misnamed. An AT&T contractor, Tata Consultancy Services, along with the Outsourcing Institute, sponsored the canceled session (rather than AT&T, as stated).
- The date of one of two requirements to participate in the class action pregnancy discrimination lawsuit settlement at Verizon was misreported.
The criteria for eligibility are as follows: (1) Worked for a former NYNEX or Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) company between Jan. 6, 1994 and April 26, 2002 and (2) took a pregnancy-related leave between July 2, 1965 and April 29, 1979 from an AT&T Bell System company, or took a leave to care for a newborn child between July 2, 1965 and Dec. 31, 1983 (rather than 1993, as reported).
