Board Sets Rebate Policy for Merging Locals

The CWA Executive Board announced the following dues rebate policy for local unions that are considering merger:

"As part of Ready for the Future, many locals have considered mergers to increase their bargaining power through more dedicated resources for mobilization, political action and organizing as well as representation. Therefore, the Executive Board agrees to rebate a minimum of $1,000 and maximum of $10,000 based on three months per capita of the smaller local to the remaining local, effective July 1, 2006.  The Board will evaluate continuation of the rebate after July 1, 2007."
