Avaya Bargaining Report #13

5:00 P.M.  EST

Bargaining resumed this morning with meetings to address CWA proposed language regarding excessive work hours to Art. 14 Safety.

Several counter proposals were presented to the Company mid-afternoon on wages, pensions, Avaya Savings Plan, certification, job security, and active/retired health care.

CWA rejected Avaya's proposal to reduce the Avaya Award amount, reduce Art. 25 Term Pay, and reduce Alliance Funding.

CWA bargaining team members are awaiting contact from Avaya representatives to resume negotiations of proposals submitted in the afternoon session.
