AT&T "Legacy T" Bargaining Report #58

The Bargaining Committee met with the Company on Sunday.  While progress was made on several issues, we are still way too far apart on employment security.  The Company withdrew its demand to change the absence policy that has been on the table since February.  Again, this is not a gain; we are back to the original language except for an earlier change which extended the definition of "funeral" to include "memorial services", which had been a problem in some offices.

On employment security, the Company's offer was a far cry from what we need to come out of this bargaining.  To a person, VP Maly and the Bargaining Team expressed their surprise that the Company would believe their latest proposal would be enough for our members.

We have no meeting scheduled today, but that could change as both teams are available to meet.
