AT&T "Legacy T" Bargaining Report #5

In today's bargaining session, the Union presented proposals on safety, the grievance procedure, and the Labor Advisory Forum. 

The Company continued their drive to take away many things that we have in our current agreement:

We currently have arbitration rights for workers with more than 9 months of service who are disciplined.  The Company wants to change it to 12 months of service.

The Company now must grant flex EW days unless more than 25% of the office has been granted time off.  They want to make it 10%, so they can make it easier to deny time off.

We now have the day after Thanksgiving as a fixed holiday.  They want to replace it with a Company-designated floater so they don't have to pay Holiday Pay.

We can now carry over vacations through the last week of April.  They want to eliminate carry-over altogether.

Their most outrageous proposal concerned a new set of commission-based titles in which the Company would have virtually total power to modify the plan however and whenever they wanted to.

Obviously there was no agreement on any of these proposals. We will be meeting again tomorrow.
