Marketing Seat – 2012 Bargaining Team

I am running for the Marketing seat on the 2012 Bargaining Team.   

I have been a Local Officer for 26 years and am currently serving my fifth term as Local President.  Other positions I have held in the local are Executive Vice President, Chief Steward, Senior Steward and Steward.  In addition to Bargaining, I have served on many National teams over the years and am currently a member of the Labor Advisory Forum. 

I have worked in Marketing at AT&T since 1984 which makes Articles 35 and 36 my main areas of expertise. However, with one less member on the bargaining team in 2012, it will be critical to have bargaining team members who have experience across the board on the various functional articles, as well as an understanding of intent and meaning of language bargained in past contracts on all other articles. I have served on Bargaining since 1998 and believe I bring that experience and knowledge to the table for the Union.

As our numbers continue to decline, our main focus as a bargaining team must be to preserve jobs within Legacy T. If elected to the Marketing seat, I commit to do everything I can in 2012 to make sure that happens. I am asking for your support.
