From: Lois J. Grimes-Patow; Administrative Director
Subject: ATS/ARS System Downtime May 20, 2010 through May 25, 2010
HR-IT will be relocating the internal servers in which the ATS system runs from Secaucus, NJ to Alpharetta, GA. The servers are scheduled to come down on the evening of Thursday, May 20th and be back online themorning of Tuesday, May 25th.
Please be aware that beginning later this week or early next week, employees who access ATS Web through HR One Stop will receive the following message that will notify users in advance of the planned system downtime. "Due to extensive server maintenance, the ATS Transfer System/ATS Web will not be available beginning the evening of Thursday, May 20th through Tuesday, May 25th at 7:00 a.m. We are sorry for anyinconvenience this may cause. Thank you." This message will continue during the actual downtime, and they will have to click to return to the previous screen. For those ATS Web users that access ATS Web via abookmark or shortcut, a message will be posted on the home page of ATS Web that will notify users in advance of the planned system downtime. However, during actual downtime, there is no way to intercept before it tries to access the down ATS system. Therefore, after waiting for a while they will get the standard "Not Found" screen.
The ATS Service Center is looking into having an introductory message on the 1-800-662-6629 number which will inform callers of the system downtime before they are connected to a rep. If the message cannot be implemented, then the ATS Service Center reps will notify each caller of the system downtime.
