Alcatel-Lucent Subcontracting Engineering Functions to Goodman

We received the following message today from Alcatel-Lucent. While this is not bargaining unit work, it does give more work to Goodman Network which is also the major subcontractor doing installation work. Anything that strengthens Goodman is bad for us. As they continue to contract out every piece of work that they can, we should again be thankful for our no-layoff clause.

I am sharing the attached announcement that came out today because you have asked questions in the past about engineering. The email informs certain groups/employees that Alcatel-Lucent has signed an agreement with Goodman Networks to perform certain engineering functions. Installation will not see this communication but will likely hear about it in the field. If you have any questions please let me know.
