The Company returned to the table today with another retrogressive proposal: in Article 13 they want to eliminate the Daily Miscellaneous Allowance, begin payments for daily transportation expense allowance starting at mile 25 (instead of mile 10) and increase the maximum distance between the computation point and the job location to 75 miles.  Clearly that is a proposal we cannot accept. The company still has not responded positively to one of our proposals. We passed proposals today to increase the “lead installer/trainer” pay to $10 and increase the “change in tour” and “change of start time” in Article 10 from $4.00 and $3.00 respectively, to $10.00

Tomorrow the Company is bringing in their benefits bargainer for a presentation on benefits and we can be sure they are looking to cut their costs there and SHIFT them to us.
