Today the Bargaining Tams met.  We made some very small steps in dealing with the effects of the Company’s Shi(f)t plan but need more.  After the company responded to our proposals, our team met and soon delivered our counter offer.  The ball is now in the Company’s court to make the changes necessary to resolve this issue. Today the discussion will focus again on benefits.  We are very far apart on our positions but we are hoping that bargaining speeds up as we move into this last week of the extension.

There is still no wage proposal from the Company. They are clearly waiting to see if any of their many retrogressive demands are met – which is unlikely.
