68th CWA Convention: 1,500 Delegates Meet To Set CWA Policy

A total of 1,501 delegates representing 750 locals attended CWA's 2006 annual convention July 10-11 in Las Vegas. Delegates are elected at their home locals and they cast votes on policy matters reflecting the number of members their locals represent.

At the convention, delegates discuss and vote on the CWA budget, proposed constitutional changes, policy issues and programs such as — this year — CWA's strategic plan for the future, and appeals of Executive Board decisions.  Every three years they elect CWA national officers and district and sector vice presidents.
