2009 Mileage Reimbursement Rate

We have just been notified of the 2009 Avaya Mileage Rates based on the IRS allowable rate. Please see the  letter below. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Re: 2009 Mileage Rate Reimbursement

The IRS has issued the 2009 standard mileage rate at 55.0 cents per mile for travel beginning January 1, 2009.

Accordingly, the Avaya mileage rate for US Associates will be updated to 55.0 cents per mile, for the use of a personal vehicle for company business beginning January 1, 2009 . All mileage traveled between July 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008 will be reimbursed at the current rate of 58.5 cents per mile.

The new IRS rate reflects the recent decline in the price of gas.
