2008 cost-of-living allowance for bargained employees
To all AT&T Locals:
The company put out a notice today in AT&T News which has created a lot of confusion. It says:
During 2004 bargaining, the unions and AT&T agreed to a cost-of-living allowance (COLA) formula. Based on that formula, this year's COLA has triggered an additional 1.47 percent increase over the scheduled 2.25 percent increase.
This refers only to "Legacy S" employees whose General Wage increase is payable April 11th. It does not cover former Legacy T employees or former Bell South employees. Our contracts do not include a Cost of Living Wage increase. We are working with Labor Relations to put out a formal correction.
