AT&T LEGACY T BARGAINING REPORT #67

The Bargaining Teams did not meet today. The Union still continues to review and access the Company’s Final Offer not only for accuracy but also for the total impact to the membership. The Company has tied together the Core, Appendix A, USVI and the Puerto Rico agreements, as well as many parts of the agreements that we have common understandings on. Their “take it or leave it” attitude has frustrated the bargaining process, making responding to these very large packages difficult. We have several requests for information (RFI) outstanding and are still waiting for acceptable responses with accurate detailed data from the Company so we can truly understand the impact this proposal will have on our members today as well as in the future. The Company’s final offer still falls far short of the Members' demands.  Although we have made progress we have a long way to go on healthcare, job security, employment security, absence, Alliance and other very important elements, to reach a fair and just contract for all our Members.

The Company has not made the inability to pay claim, they are simply saying they don’t want to pay. This is very important since this is an extremely profitable company that recently received tremendous tax breaks on the promise of investing in jobs in this country. This company was built by you and you deserve a fair contract.

We will be working apart this weekend as we continue to review data and the company’s Final Offer.

Tell the Company to FORGET THEIR FINAL OFFER! Also tell them to STOP DIRECT DEALING and TALK TO US AT THE TABLE!

Now is the time to unite and stand strong!
