The Bargaining Team met with the Company today to reject their retrogressive Comprehensive Package passed on 4/19/18. The Union passed numerous proposals.

The Bargaining Team met today to complete the review of the Company’s Comprehensive Package that was passed on Friday. In our opinion this package did not match up with the bargaining update they released 4/20/18. We continue to formulate questions and proposals to address the Union’s goal to reach a fair and just contract.

There are easily 35 retrogressive items in this package which include the following.

Late this afternoon the Bargaining Team received a package proposal from the Company. We are now reviewing the package to see if it has any merit. We will be back at the table tomorrow morning with the Company to continue bargaining.

The Bargaining Team has received numerous questions about the BCB2 Plan. BCB2 stands for Bargained Cash Balance Program 2. This plan was introduced in 2009 for new hires in 2010 and beyond. It was originally designed as a fix to counter the Company discontinuing a defined pension plan for future employees.
