For release April 10, 2015 Contact: Candice Johnson, CWA Communications, cjohnson@cwa-union.org As Contract Expiration Nears, CWA Calls on AT&T to Bargain Constructively Washington, D.C. -- With just hours until the midnight April 11 expiration of two AT&T contracts, members of the Communications Workers of America and their bargaining teams are calling on management to bargain constructively on the key issues.

The first post-expiration meeting did not go very well.

As you all should know by now the Company and Union agreed to extend the Contract until Tuesday, April 14 at 12:00 Noon EDT.

Here we are, one day from expiration, and not only did the Company NOT give us a wage proposal but they had the nerve to give us a terrible proposal on job security and then tie that to US accepting their ridiculous absence proposal - a reduction for everyone of paid days, a maximum of five (5) sick days for anyone and NO PAID sick days for new workers.
