Today, by an overwhelming margin of 97%, the recently-negotiated LNS Sacramento Agreement was ratified.

****Updated with pictures from meeting**** I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the Local Officers, members and retirees who attended the special Lucent shareholders meeting in Wilmington, Delaware. As I stated in my speech (see below) to the shareholders, it was a sea of red of members and retirees who came to voice their concerns over the direction Lucent was taking with our jobs, healthcare, and pensions.

Following is a message sent to our office from a retiree regarding concerns on the impact of the Section 420 legislation and CWA's lobbying for modifications in order for Lucent to continue to provide retirees with a level of retiree health care coverage consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.
