CWA locals statewide and the entire union movement are united in plans to protect collective bargaining, negotiate a fair state contract, and save workers' jobs while protecting and maintaining critical services in the state.

Putting aside any rivalries, NABET-CWA members working at competing broadcast TV news stations in Chicago marched in solidarity last week to demand fair contracts from three media giants.

Negotiations got underway Wednesday with Verizon Communications covering about 35,000 CWA members from Virginia to New England, and another 10,000 members of the IBEW.
