Taking a stand against corporate greed, CWA activists plan to protest Verizon's annual shareholder meeting on May 3. The gathering starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Von Braun Center, an arena located in downtown Huntsville, Ala. Shareholders will be voting on nine proposals, including an AFSCME and CWA General Fund proposition requiring Verizon to publically disclose its federal- and state-level lobbying.

There is nothing new to report. The Company?s last proposal on Health Care did move slightly.

The Company came to the Bargaining Table today to reject our last proposal on Health Care and present one that still has our members increasing the cost share from the current 18% to 25% in 2013, 28% in 2014 and 29% in 2015.

Mobilization elevates as CWA members complete week one working without a contract at AT&T.

After our CWA team presented a Health Care proposal this morning, the Company had not yet responded (it is after 6:00 PM on Friday night). Hopefully, we will either be re-convening this evening or tomorrow morning. Your Legacy T Team is ready to bargain.
