80 Nevada Deputy Sheriffs Vote CWA
The bargaining unit of 80 deputy sheriffs with the Clark County Deputy Sheriffs' Association voted to joined CWA Local 9111 on Sept. 14. Local 9111 organizer Don Ruiz assisted the workers.
63 Newark Airport Workers Go CWA
Sixty-three cleaners and hostesses at Airway Cleaners, at Newark Airport, voted for CWA representation on Sept. 7. The election was a contesting election between CWA and the independent non-affiliated United Trades Construction and Industrial Union.

Forty-four Cingular network technicians in North Carolina gained CWA representation on Aug. 16 after a majority of the workers supported CWA in a card check. Locals 3607 and 3603 assisted the workers in their efforts to get a union like most of their co-workers at the company.
