National CRE and Women’s Committee Prepare for a National Day of Training!

Last week, the National Civil Rights and Equity Committee and the National Women’s Committee participated in a 3-day virtual train the trainer course facilitated by the National Human Rights Department.  Committee members presented three training modules on Implicit Bias, Building An Anti-Racist Union, and Forming New Committees as they prepared for CWA’s National Day of Human Rights Training scheduled for March 2022.  The training course also included an overview of Zoom, including how to use breakout rooms, the Zoom whiteboard, and on-screen controls during a presentation.  

 

Committee members received instructional skills, various facilitation techniques on ways to engage members, and immediate peer-to-peer feedback throughout the sessions. Participants left the training with new confidence in Zoom and ready to schedule their first training class!
