The FCC recently updated the Lifeline program to include broadband service for low-income households.
Modernizing Lifeline is a huge victory for low-income families. Now, some in Congress are working to undo this hard-won progress. Just this month, they’ve tried to cap the program’s budget, slash critical services, and eliminate program safety valves that permit eligible individuals to get service.
We must defend Lifeline. Call your representative. Urge them to defend Lifeline from attacks and protect a program that will help millions of low-income Americans get online.
