Day 5 Report: Verizon Workers March for the 99%

The crowds are getting bigger as the march moves into Downstate. More cars are honking and more members are joining the march, with 17 marchers going 24 miles on Day 5. They arrived to a hero's welcome from approximately one hundred Local 1103 members, who turned out at the Arlo Lane Verizon garage in Peekskill. The marchers are looking ahead to Thursday's huge rally in Foley Square, where they will back up the Occupy protesters that New York City Mayor - and multi-billionaire - Michael Bloomberg is trying to shut down in Lower Manhattan. CWA will be there for Occupy Wall Street because this fight is all about the same problem: the 99% versus the 1%.
