Local 1170 - Ongoing Bargaining Talks

The bargaining talks for Rochester, New York Legacy employees kicked off on January 31, 2011. For Local President John Pusloskie, patience has been a needed virtue as the talks have been proceeding slowly due to the tough issues involved and the lack of availability on Frontier?s behalf. Frontier?s two negotiators have been unable to schedule many bargaining sessions due to their time being split between talks with CWA Local 1170 in New York and an IBEW local in North Carolina. March 17 marked the first round of talks with Frontier that had taken place in weeks.

Frontier Communications? union workers are frustrated about expiring labor agreements and slow contract negotiations, the Communications Workers of America said Wednesday. Frontier?s board of directors is meeting this week in Charleston, the site of the company?s southeast regional headquarters.

IBEW Local 503 members in Monroe, New York, voted on March 15 to ratify a new three year contract with Frontier by a 4 to 1 margin.

In preparation for the upcoming Shareholders meeting in Stamford, Connecticut on May 12th, Frontier Communications put out its financial report to the SEC.
