The Congressional Black Caucus Institute (CBCI) 21st Century Council think tank convened its 4th quarter meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina October 16-19, 2011.

Demanding justice at Atento Mexico, CWA President Larry Cohen and more than 150 other global labor leaders marched Friday through the streets of Mexico City with 1,500 call center workers fighting for fair union elections.

With a focus on good jobs, fair taxes and other policies to rebuild America's middle class, CWA and other unions are helping the Occupy Wall Street movement grow, from Boston to Austin and cities up and down the West Coast.

Following House passage of the Colombia Free Trade Agreement on Wednesday night, CWA expressed deep disappointment that Congress choose to ignore the country's gross abuses of workers' rights and the deadly violence against people who fight for unionization.

Fighting for economic justice and good jobs to rebuild America's middle class, CWA members and thousands of other union members joined Occupy Wall Street demonstrators for a march in New York's financial district on Wednesday. CWA also participated in San Francisco and other cities as similar rallies and protests spread nationwide.
