    • Kyoto protocol – countries who signed the Kyoto protocol are seeing increases in green technological/energy innovation patents while US and Australia (developed countries who didn’t sign the protocol) are not seeing any increases in green tech patents
  • If US energy remains at status quo will transition to greater dependence on oil and natural gas
