Bipartisan Bill to Bring Call Center Jobs Back to the U.S. Garners More Legislator Support Than Ever Before

CWA announced that the United States Call Center Worker and Consumer Protection Act, introduced in the House by Reps. David McKinley (R-WV) and Mark Pocan (D-WI), with a companion Senate bill from Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), has reached more than 120 cosponsors in Congress — signaling a building wave of momentum for bringing back call center jobs in the U.S.

CWA Praises Passage of New York Call Center Legislation

In a big victory for CWA members, who have been writing letters, sending postcards to legislators, making phone calls, and traveling to the state capitol in Albany time and time again to get this bill passed, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the New York State Call Center Jobs Act into law on January 2.
