Katherine Tai’s Values are Working People’s Values

Katherine Tai is a tremendous choice for United States Trade Representative. Her values are working people’s values. Picking someone with Tai’s experience and understanding of how trade agreements impact workers, Joe Biden has shown, once again, that his Administration will follow through on commitment to challenge corporate power and rebuild the middle class.

We have worked with Katherine Tai for years, and know that she’s a straight shooter who will give us a fair hearing and let us know where we stand -- no games, no backroom deals, no bullshit. As the lead staffer negotiating fixes to Donald Trump’s disastrous NAFTA 2.0 deal, she was able to get the special deals for Big Pharma that Trump put into NAFTA 2.0 out of the final deal. She also made important progress on labor rights, which is amazing in working out a deal with the most anti-labor president in decades.

I am looking forward to working with her to make sure that trade agreements raise standards for workers instead of serving as starting blocks for the corporate race to the bottom.
