CWA Members at DirecTV Reach an Agreement for an Extension as Negotiations for a New Contract Continue

NATIONWIDE — DirecTV Care and Distribution Center workers, represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA), have reached an agreement for a 72-hour rolling contract extension to continue negotiations for a fair contract. The original contract was set to expire at midnight on February 10. The bargaining committee continued to meet with the company late into the night, but has yet to reach a final agreement. While there has been some progress, the company is refusing to meet the workers’ reasonable demands on critical issues such as wages and benefits. Throughout the negotiations, the members have been actively mobilizing to build power, support their bargaining committee and reach a fair contract that recognizes the hard work and commitment they bring to the company. The members are prepared to continue to fight for what they deserve.
