Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Bargaining Team met with the Company and we are pleased to report that we have secured an Agreement with Nokia to continue to provide Post-Retirement Medical, Dental and Group Life Insurance through the end of calendar year 2024! Now that we have secured a measure of retirement security for the next 5 years, we are one step closer to securing a collective bargaining agreement that will grant dignity and respect for our Installers.
- addition, the Union has agreed to a Special Voluntary Termination Program (SVTP) offer to those individuals who would like to voluntarily leave employment with Nokia under the 2014 Effects Agreement paragraphs A(1), (2) and (3) of the CBA. This offer will be made in the coming weeks.
We continue to wait for the company to provide key financial information that was requested by the CWA Research Economists as part of the NLRB Settlement. Once the data is received and reviewed we will re-engage in contract negotiations.
As always, we are asking that you gear up our mobilization activities around the country. It is still critically important that we have the support of both our active members as well as our retirees.
