Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Company and Union Bargaining Teams met today. Your Bargaining Team passed a comprehensive concept proposal today which includes an Enhanced Special Voluntary Termination Package in lieu of the Company’s proposed Effects Agreement. The Company asked a number of clarifying questions. We once again tied Post-Retirement Healthcare, Dental and Group Life Insurance to our proposal to ensure that current and prospective Retirees have the retirement security they deserve. Our next bargaining meeting is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, based on the Company’s review of our proposal.

Please continue to mobilize. It is extremely important that the CEO of Nokia, Nokia’s Bargaining Chair, Nokia’s customers and your Legislators know that eliminating good Union jobs and putting Retiree’s benefits at risk is BAD BUSINESS. Also check out and join Nokia’s Yammer Field Forces conversation. Remember:  if you encounter quality issues with 3P contractors or you are sent to clean up their mess, please send the information to the bargaining team:  cwalocal1090@yahoo.com.

Use this link to send an online letter to Nokia’s Ricky Corker, EVP of Americas and Nokia’s Andy Golby, Head of Network Implementation of Americas, telling them to save American jobs and bargain in good faith!
