IUE-CWA 2016-2017 Scholarship Winners

IUE-CWA has awarded 17 partial college scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year. IUE-CWA members' children and grandchildren, including those of retired or deceased members, were eligible for the awards.

Paul Jennings Scholarship for $3,000:

• Jamie Franks, daughter of Stacie Franks, Local 717, is attending Kent State University, Trumbull

Sal Ingrassia Scholarship for $2,500:

• Zach Combs, son of Justin Combs, Local 1004, is attending Cowley College

Bruce Van Ess Scholarship for $2,500:

• Jeri Houghtaling, daughter of Jennifer Kelly, Local 612 is attending Jamestown Community College

David J. Fitzmaurice Scholarship for $2,000:

• Stranieri, daughter of Angelo Stranieri, Local 444, is attending University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Robert L. Livingston Scholarship for $1,500:

• Thomas Hansen, son of Christine Hansen, Local 14430, is attending University of Iowa
• Austin Frey, son of Timothy Frey, Local 502, is attending Rochester Institute of Technology

George Hutchens Scholarship for $1,500:

• Jason Vangalis, son of Jason Vangalis, Local 800 FW, is attending Northwestern University

Willie Rudd Scholarship for $1,000:

• Katelyn Klonowski, daughter of David Klonowski, Local 1004, is attending Cowley College

James B. Carey Scholarship for $1,000:

• Derek Vasquez, son of Esmeralda Perez, Local 1029, is attending University of Texas at San Antonio
• Kate DelSignor, daughter of James DelSignor, Local 301, is attending Williams College
• Elizabeth Burton, daughter of Michael Burton, Local 755, is attending Morehead State University
• McClean Pink, daughter of Michael Pink, Local 380, is attending SUNY Cortland
• Raven Clark, granddaughter of Johnnie Ewings, Local 801, is attending Stephen F. Austin State University
• Baylee Hughes, daughter of Martin Hughes, Local 755, is attending Wright State University

• Kelsie Walbrecht, daughter of Barry Walbrecht, Local 1114, is attending Missouri Southern State University
