The parties have had several virtual meetings to negotiate a successor agreement. As you know, the current agreement is scheduled to expire March 31, 2022. So far, the discussions have been productive. We have agreed on several housekeeping items, for clarity, since most of the current language is from AT&T agreements. We have tentatively agreed to a few non-economic changes in language; however, we still have a ways to go. There are economic issues where the parties remain far apart. The Company has expressed their desire to make some changes to the contract in order to remain competitive. We have consistently conveyed to the Company that our members must maintain their standard of living and job security in order to reach an acceptable agreement.
We have our Legal and Research departments assisting, as needed, and they have been of great support to us as we work through these negotiations.
