Sick Time in E-Link

To:  All C&T Locals Representing AT&T

Our office has been made aware that the new AT&T payroll system has a drop down menu that requires the employee to give a reason for their absence.  You are not required to give the Company a reason.  We would consider this a violation under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  However, the e?link system requires an entry to process.  You are advised to use "illness, other" for the code.
