RMC National Executive Officers Election Notice

Distribution of Notices begin to Chapter President and Executive Officers of the RMC National Executive Officer Elections.

November 30th, 2015

Self-Nominations open for RMC Executive President, Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.   All Self-Nominations must be submitted to and received by Election Chair Calvin Foster, Attention Cristi Mason by 4PM EST, December 12, 2015.  Email, cmason@cwa-union.org, and Fax, 202 434 1481, will be accepted with confirmation of receipt.  Mailing address is 501 3rd Street N.W., 10th Floor, Washington DC 20001.

RMC Bylaws, XIII, Section 2 officers of the Executive Committee (c). “The voting strength of the Chapters shall be based on the number of members in the Council’s data base at the time of the election”. Voting Strength for this Election will be determined by the number of eligible Lifetime Members as of November 30th, 2015.   Each Chapter will also cast their pro rata share of the unaffiliated Council members within their respective District or Sector.

December 12th, 2015

4:01PM EST - Nominations for RMC National Executive Officer Elections close.

The RMC will insert a one page campaign flyer as provided by the candidate. One page Candidate Information Sheet is due by 4PM EST December 12th, 2015.  This flyer is limited to a one 8.5x11 inches, single sided sheet.  Unless provided by the nominee this campaign flyer will be photo copied in black and white for the ballot packages. 

December 14th, 2015

Final Verification of Local Chapter Presidents & Voting Strength (November 30th, 2015), and the mailing of the Ballot Packages to Eligible Chapter Presidents is done.

December 23rd, 2015

Last Day for Candidates to Designate an Observer for Ballot Count on December 29, 2015.  On the day of the count each candidate may have an observer present at their own expense.  December 23rd, 2015 is last day to notify the Election Chair who is the candidates designated observer.

December 28th,  2015

All ballots must be received at the CWA Headquarters, Attention Calvin Foster at 501 3rd Street N.W., 10th Floor, Washington DC 20001 no later than December 28th, 2015 by 4PM, in order to be valid and eligible for counting.

To meet eligibility requirements, you should ensure that your Name and RMC Chapter # are printed legibility on the outside return envelope.  Please do not mark on the “secret ballot envelope.  This could void the ballot”

Counting of the Ballots. On, Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 the RMC Election Chair shall oversee; the verification, counting of the ballots and certification of the election.
