Pension Information

To:  All Avaya Employees, Deferred Vested Participants, and Represented Retirees

We received the following letter from Avaya yesterday.  As the letter states, the applicable information will go out shortly to retirees and identified deferred vested participants and employees.  If those receiving the data by mail do not receive the information within a month's time, you may want to let your Local know so they can get the information to the C&T office and we'll follow up with the Company.  For current employees, as the letter states, you should receive your information through company email.

Lois and John,

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 requires that we publish an annual pension funding notice to plan participants after each plan starting with the 2008 plan year.

The Pension Service Center will be mailing the cover letter and notice to all represented retirees and deferred vested participants late next week.  We will also be notifying active employees through Email with a posting to the employee portal for the notice.
