Notice to All Interested Parties

To:     All Alcatel-Lucent Locals

Recently the Company posted the above-referenced notice, which is a standard form of notification from the IRS, regarding changes to five employee-related benefit plans.

This is merely an audit to verify that Alcatel-Lucent is compliant with IRS guidelines, regulations, and requirements related to these benefit plans.  Based on the notice, employees may give comments if they so desire.

CWA has requested Alcatel-Lucent to give us a copy of the IRS letter if there are any areas where the Company is out of compliance.
