Mobilization Update
Great C&T Mobilization Continues!
This is the most up-to-date report we have about activities going on around the country. If you have been left off make sure you let us know what you are doing so we can post your activities in support of Legacy T bargaining. NO BUSINESS AS USUAL.
1150 increases quality and safety awareness every day.
4050 President Dave Skotarczyk led two rally/public education drives in District 4 at the site of the NCAA Final Four basketball games, letting the public know that Corporate Greed is all around us, including at AT&T.
4340 mailed out an additional 120 customer letters in the Cleveland, Ohio area this week including KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Pearl Vision, JCPenny & Walgreens. This brings 4340's letter total for the last two weeks to 285. Great job! Members of 4340 have also continued their NO OVERTIME policy & continue to do each job with the highest level of quality & safety!
4640 collected proxies and returned them to D4.
6450 had over 50 people at their strike watch Saturday. They did 6 television interviews and 3 telephone interviews over the weekend. They were the breaking news story 3 days in a row. Their email blasts reach 700 members & the website blog is very active.
7250 continues daily actions. They handed a piece of bread in a baggie with a label "NO s**t sandwiches". It caused a bit of a stir…salt? Snot? Spit? Soot? The possibilities are endless! :-)
9415 has been mobilizing with 9421. There have been many coordinated internal actions, including wearing black on Monday. The members of both locals are working with great care and precision, as CWA members are known world wide for the quality service we provide. 9415 also sent early warning letters to Pepsi Co, Sears, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Hilton, Visa, JCPenny & Hertz
Many Locals reported technicians have to do inventory at the beginning and end of every shift because the company vehicles are out of the techs control since the revocation of home garaging. Our members are making sure nothing was removed from their trucks and vans overnight, as they are responsible for the contents of their vehicles. As always our inside & outside techs are making sure that they are performing quality jobs safely.
Hourly stand ups in support of CWA bargaining teams, clicking (pill bottle shaking, pencil tapping), walk-ins, a daily sea of red Monday through Thursday, and a storm of black on Friday continues to be reported from every local coast to coast.
Both 7250 & 13550 reported management unsuccessfully attempted to stop or limit hourly stand ups. Stay strong, stay mobilized.
Remember to have people sign the e-petition to AT&T by accessing www.standupforworkers.com so we can send a strong message to AT&T that corporate greed is not tolerated in the United States.
