Message from Retiree re: 420 Legislation

Following is a message sent to our office from a retiree regarding concerns on the impact of the Section 420 legislation and CWA's lobbying for modifications in order for Lucent to continue to provide retirees with a level of retiree health care coverage consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.

I would just like to say thank you for trying to help us retirees who don't have anyone to fight for us. I only hope that not too many others are in my kind of financial shape....  a large increase or a succession of small increases to medical premiums in my case is going to put me in dire straights; the thought of losing my pension is a place i dare not go to, i dont mean to cry I'm just trying to let somebody out there know that some of us feel very uncertian now like never before about the future, thank you, I am one person who very much appreciates your efforts.
