Maly Elected to Head C&T

Ralph Maly, elected by acclamation at the convention to head Communications and Technologies, pledges to uphold the union’s constitution as a CWA vice president. Maly was appointed by the CWA executive board earlier this year to succeed longtime C&T Vice Pres. Jim Irvine, who retired. Acknowledging tremendous challenges with one-time giant AT&T dividing into many companies, Maly delighted that the unit he now heads, “is sending a clear message of solidarity to everyone. We are determined and are resolved to protect our members’ rights and future.”
