It's something bigger than just Jason
Jason Schneider likes to say he has fun at work — assisting customers and getting to play all day with electronic toys — but it’s the work he does with CWA that brings him a sense of purpose.
His first month on the job, Jason met his union rep, Ben, who talked about all the things CWA guarantees members — and it dawned on Jason there was so much more to learn. After attending his first Mobility Training, Jason was hooked. He stopped in on a second session, then a third, and now Jason is leading classes of his own.
About the training, Jason said: “Afterwards, I felt like I knew so much more. Like I could do so much more.”
On the morning he led his first training, Jason was nervous and excited. He wanted to make sure he could convey to the class the possibilities that being a Mobility member invites — from better contracts to benefits to determining the future of CWA.
Jason’s involvement with CWA has snowballed from his first month on the job. Now it’s Jason going store to store to talk to Mobility members to get them excited about being a part of the movement.
As Jason says, there are bigger things than just him and his job. CWA is fighting for a greater cause and for the rights of those who might not have a voice on their own.
