CWA Verizon Members and Supporters Launch March to Washington, D.C.

Will join Occupy demonstrators and allies at McPherson Square on Thursday, Nov. 17

Washington, D.C. – Members of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) will march from Verizon Chesapeake Complex in Silver Spring, MD to McPherson Square in Washington D.C., beginning Wednesday, Nov. 16. The march, with stops and support rallies along the route, will spotlight Verizon Communications’ corporate greed. CWA marchers will be joined by other union members, elected officials, progressive allies and Occupy DC demonstrators as they near McPherson square.

The Silver Spring to DC march is part of a week of action by CWA members.
