CWA/USW Health and Safety Departments are Awarded OSHA Safety and Health Grant

OSHA has awarded the CWA/USW jointly developed and submitted grant proposal $207,000 for fiscal year 2010-2011 (renewable over a period running from 2010-2015). Effective October 1, 2010, the purpose of the grant will be to develop and implement health and safety education, training, and technical assistance addressing the needs of CWA and USW members. Targeted members will include high-risk and under-served workers (including customer service; public, health care, and education; and media and broadcasting workers).
