CWA Urges Support for AT&T Shareholder Proposals
CWA is urging members holding AT&T stock to vote as follows on four AT&T shareholder proposals when they mark their proxy cards:
** Vote “for” Proposal 11 (Severance Contracts). This is a CWA proposal to require majority shareholder approval of “golden parachute” executive severance contracts that are contingent upon a change of corporate control.
** Vote “for” Proposal 12 (Executive Compensation). Submitted by CWA Rep. Gerald Souder, this calls on the board of directors to exclude income from the over-funded pension plan in calculating executive compensation.
** Vote “against” Proposal 8 (Amend Equal Opportunity Statement). This is a bigoted proposal to remove “sexual preference or orientation” from AT&T’s anti-discrimination policy.
** Vote "for" Proposals 3 and 3a. (Sale of AT&T Broadband to Comcast)
