CWA National Committee on Civil Rights and Equity Re-Elects Gloria Middleton as Chair

The CWA National Committee on Civil Rights and Equity nominated and re-elected Gloria Middleton for a second term as Chair.

Gloria is Secretary-Treasurer of CWA Local 1180 which represents public workers in New York City. Arthur Cheliotes is President.

Appointed to the National Committee on Equity in 2008 by CWA District 1 Vice President Chris Shelton, she has been an active member of her Local Civil Rights and Equity Committee while promoting the work of the Local’s women’s committee. She has also been a committed member of the National Committee on Civil Rights and Equity. Gloria is also a long time member of CWA Minority Caucus and has been a subscribing Life Member to the NAACP since 2003.

The mission of the Committee on Civil Rights and Equity is to build a union where members of all cultures, religions, sexual orientations, gender, disabilities, ages and nationalities feel welcomed, respected and heard; and where the leadership reflects the diversity of our membership.

Congratulations to Sister Middleton.
