Calling All Politicians
Are you your town’s mayor, a school board member, chair of the water board? A state legislator, county sheriff or justice of the peace?
No matter what your title, if you hold elective office, CWA wants to know. The union is trying to update a list started two years ago of members active in political office.
“Our members who hold office have enormous skills in public speaking, organization and decision-making, and they are rooted in working-family values,” CWA President Morton Bahr said. “They are influential members of their communities and many will be ideal candidates for higher public office in the future.”
To add your name to the list, contact Kathy Wagner, CWA representative, by mail or e-mail. Include the following: Your name, address, home phone number, a work number if you can be reached there, your employer and type of work you do, your CWA local number, past or present experience as a union officer and your history of elected office. List present and past elected positions and dates held.
