Arbitrator's Decision - New Trucks by Performance

We have posted a new case on the Arbitration page from Local 1170 in Rochester, NY.  It concerns the decision by management to distribute new trucks to those with the highest performance numbers.  While the Arbitrator did not rule that the new procedure was a violation of the agreement, he did agree that it was a "term and condition of employment" and must be bargained with the Union.  The Arbitrator did not rule that the Company must re-distribute the trucks it had already distributed, it made clear that any future allocation must be bargained with the Union. We congratulate Local 1170 for pursuing this.
