Annual Meeting Summary

Below is the RMC Annual Summary by RMC Executive President, Ray Myers

Greetings to All,

I want to provide all Chapter Presidents with an update of our 22nd RMC’s Annual Meeting. For those who were able to attend I would like to thank you for your participation which contributed to the meeting’s success. For the ones unable to be with us, I hope you will accept with enthusiasm the objectives for the next year which were set by the attending delegates.

Several changes were made to this year’s format all of which were well received. There were questions as to why I did not strictly adhere to the speakers time limits. Time had been built into the agenda to accommodate possible problems. These problems never occurred; therefore we were well ahead of schedule. The CWA Executive Board was scheduled for 2:30. I needed something to fill the time. During future meetings I will have fill in material should we again be ahead of schedule and time limits will be observed.

The commitments made by the delegates are as follows:

1. Increase the RMC’s membership by 2500 prior to the 2011 meeting.

2. Double our current participation in CWA COPE via debit card and credit card payments.

Both of these are easily obtainable. If each chapter added 12 new members we will be over the commitment. We are also in discussions with several locals about forming new chapters. This will increase the overall membership.

You will be receiving information on COPE credit and debit card payments. If a third of our chapter were to add 1 new COPE participant we would soar past the objective.

I hope everyone will join the delegates in accepting these challenges. I pledge your district officer’s cooperation in building the RMC during the next year.

I am looking forward to the opportunity of renewing old acquaintances and establishing new ones during the 23^rd Annual RMC Meeting in Las Vegas July 9, 2011.
