AT&T Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre announced today at the company's annual meeting an ad hoc pension increase for certain retirees.
AT&T Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre announced today at the company's annual meeting an ad hoc pension increase for certain retirees.
The pension increase applies to retirees who retired before 1996 and currently receive a monthly pension benefit of $1,200 or less. These retirees will receive increases up to 6.2 percent, with the largest increases going to retirees in this group who currently have the smallest pensions.
